Meet the Therapist
I have lived in Swindon for 20 years with my wife and two, now adult, children and am an active Christian within my community.
Before becoming a full-time practicing therapist in 2002 I pursued a successful 16 year career in the pharmaceutical and IT
industries within sales & marketing and business management roles.
I am a graduate of the University of Leeds, and hold therapy qualifications accredited by NCFE to NVQ level 4 (diploma level).
I became involved with hypnotherapy when the death of a close family member, combined with the high pressure of my job, left me
feeling as if I too needed some extra help and support. I consulted a hypnotherapist and psychotherapist, became fascinated by the
process and chose to pursue a new career.
I am now a full-time Hypno-psychotherapist, committed to the continual improvement of my skills. Being full-time has meant that I
now have over
6,750 sessions of direct one-to-one experience with clients covering a wide range of issues. I am currently working at
Master’s degree level towards obtaining my full UKCP accreditation. For over 4 years I have been the resident hypno-psychotherapist
at the Swindon Borough Council “Health Hydro” Complementary Health Clinic.
The clinic first opened in 1987 with a handful of practitioners offering complementary therapies and has grown to a well established
and respected clinic with over 30 practitioners now operating from the premises. Each therapy offers the specialised service of
qualified practitioners, all of whom are positively vetted by the council. I make regular appearances on BBC Radio Wiltshire/Swindon
shows and until the recent ending of the long running weekend “Sandy Martin Show” I was a monthly contributor at the top of the
morning; 9-10 am.
“Working with Andrew was great. We had a bit of a laugh, provided a different prospective on local and national news and events, while
at the same time discussing behavioural and emotional difficulties. The spot proved very popular attracting a large number of responses
via phone and email”.

I have also written many articles and columns for several publications, including Swindon’s Evening Advertiser where I wrote the
fortnightly, “No Stress” column on the Health pages. Please feel free to contact me as I am happy to consider; contributing articles,
speaking publicly or appearing on radio or TV.
My personal interests include work within my church in North Swindon, architectural photography, keeping fit, music, cooking and
clay-pigeon shooting.
Andrew is Enhanced CRB checked for work with children and vulnerable young adults.
