Quit Smoking

"Hypnosis is the most effective way of giving up smoking, according to the largest ever-scientific comparison of ways of breaking the habit. Willpower, it turns out, counts for very little".
New Scientist vol. 136 issue 1845

If you really want to quit and you’ve already tried willpower and various other methods without success, then our unique combination of advanced hypnosis and NLP techniques may help you achieve your goal. The fact is that you may want to consciously give up for many good reasons, but your subconscious mind is simply continuing to run the old, now unwanted, instructions that were given to it whenever you have smoked. You struggle to give up as you’re effectively “fighting yourself”.

I have helped many people to give up smoking with a single 60-75 minute session! So what are you waiting for?

Habits & Compulsions (alcohol, chocolate, OCD, etc.)

It’s debatable as to where the line should be drawn between a habit and a compulsion/obsession. For simplicity consider a habit as an action that is largely carried out without the awareness of the conscious mind. A compulsion/obsession however is known to the conscious mind, which “fights” to prevent the behaviour repeating itself.

Habit
  • Nail biting
  • Hair twiddling and pulling
  • Nervous twitch
  • Stammering
  • Bed-wetting etc.
Compulsive/Obsessive Behaviour
  • Alcohol abuse
  • Drug abuse
  • Need to perform a ritual, such as repeated hand washing, checking for locked doors/windows, sniffing a book etc.

Eating Disorders

This is a much under talked about area that many people, particularly women, find themselves trapped within.

There is often a deep seated emotional reason to want to eat that is then countered with a need to remain slim and “acceptable”. Guilt, anxiety and sometimes depression are often the result that again feed the emotional need to eat. Establishing ways and means to break this cycle is key to success.

I have successful experience in helping those suffering with:
  • Bingeing
  • Food Obsessions & Compulsions
  • Bulimia & Anorexia

Weight Management

The chances are that by now you have tried virtually everything else. You've tried willpower alone; all sorts of different, weird and wonderful diets, perhaps increasing your exercise and have likely attended slimming classes. Sometimes you have managed to lose the weight, other times you have failed, but quite often even if you have lost some weight you've invariably put it back on and perhaps even ended up weighing even more. Perhaps now you are ready to look at your weight issue from a slightly different viewpoint and are willing to try a different approach?

The therapy is tailored to the individual's requirements and may involve; looking for and dealing with the causes of overeating, improving motivation, analysing and modifying eating/coping strategies.

In the first instance call me to discuss your personal needs and allow me to advise on the suitability of a course of therapy for you.
